Since the current "vogue" of interest in the paranormal, undoubtedly created by programmes such as Most Haunted; a very large number of "companies" have sprung up offering ghost hunts and paranormal events. We have worked in this area for many years and have been organising events such as this since 1999 (one of the first). So you can guarantee you are dealing with people with a genuine passion for the subject, rather than a passing interest or hope of just making money from a transitory trend.

Paranormal Investigations
Away from public events, the other side of www.ghosthunting.org.uk is the Paranormal Research Organisation (P.R.O.) founded in 2002 by Ian Addicoat (paranormal author and renowned investigator) and described by The Independent Newspaper as:
"Britain's most dedicated 'ghost-busting' outfit”.
Under Ian’s presidency the group quickly built up an exemplary reputation for professional methodology; combining scientific and psychical investigation techniques. It was one of the first organisations to use psychological interpretations, historical analysis and modern technological study.
PRO has investigated some very prestigious locations and has been continually complimented for the professionalism of its team and also for unbiased findings. Some of the more celebrated investigations have included: a “first of it's kind” investigation of a HMS Naval Base at Devonport and working alongside The National Health Service, National Trust and English Heritage to investigate a series of locations!
During this time P.R.O has gained a distinguished reputation and became a world-wide renowned team; often working alongside the media.
In early 2008 the organisation went through some major changes and became an exclusive team "by invitation only" and no longer accepts memberships. However, the team does still actively investigate and assist at our public events.
